Mama Mia and rebirth of a Mallu for four days!!!

When Slot three slaughter is just hours away, when the readings are not yet done. The days when a 300 second snooze in alarm is valued more than anything is so near, I remain like this still reluctant to agree the fact that i am back in Ahmedabad!!!

Time you spend with your loved ones, family...friends... It flies like anything. I feel like it was just few hours back that flied to bangalore and now here i am back sitting all alone again.

Its so easy a life with no mails, no calls, nothing to do. Enjoyed the movies i saw, including Mama mia. coz if i were here, i would have been worrying about the time i am wasting. The food i had was tastier coz i was not having just another lunch or dinner but i was having food ( though the stuffs like crab n seer fish taste amazing whenever u have it).

Being a son, being a brother, being a true friend... everything adds meaning to your life. I have heard my bro telling he spends at least an hour a week just to call up old acquaintances. I had never realized how happy people become when they realize you were there spending some time just to meet them. Its not always about what you are. But its always about what you were. Its your "were's" that make your "nows".

Being in harmony with nature, knowing what you need to do, doing what you like, taking a day off, simply those few things add a lot to your life. Driving through the Bangalore roads, still remembering all those shortcuts, bribing bangalore police , an icecream from corner house, a movie at the forum mall and above all moms-food!!

Oh, i how hard i miss everything..Waiting for the next vacation..Wondering how to start the readings for slot three.

When i know the time is ready to start all over again, i do adhere!!!

Making of an MBA- Prologue

this will be a series of posts, which will be updated in regular intervals about the life here at IIM-Ahmedabad..provided i get time for the same.

Now to start.. the preparatory classes are going on (this is just a back to college kinda stuff, like reminding u , u have to study to get good grades).

The place is awesome, if i had not been to my Siemens office; i would have rated this as heaven in terms of facilities. This has a huge difference in the sense that corporate giants are providing all the stuffs to make money n here its for our future only.

Back to the prep course, the guys joined with me n sharing the classroom r nuts!!!, two of them from TCS, no offense makku(my ex-roommate in Bangalore who used to work with TCS, so people do call him his actual name Dinil... Did i go wrong?? who cares..its makku)..ya TCS.. these guys are here just because they ran away from TCS. One had a client in Dhaka, he had to go onsite, he considered his life more precious.. fine the other guy had some govt office in kolkatta as his client centre..Bengali's considered his automations eventually would end up in demolishing their posts, rest is history...

Better stories were yet to come.. CTS fellows this is true.. A guy was working with CTS Bangalore..24*7.. he usually took breaks for around 1.5 hours a day.. for sleeping n other daily chores.. finally he resigned.. prepared one whole year for CAT n he got thru...

These guys n gals don't even believe that i used to work in Siemens from 9 to 4:15 n all @Siemens still managed to finish all stuffs on time. Thank God i was with a product based company..

Yet another reason to miss my company...

Its time to prepare for my quant session for tomorrow...

Garib rath. Nothing "gareeb" bout it!!!

Mumbai-Jaipur gareeb rath!!!
i travelling from mumbai to ahmedabad, on the 2nd of March'08
it was just bout some 350-400rs from mumbai to ahmedabad.
It wasnt expecting much, Laloo wanted everyone to travel in A/C coaches; fine.. extra seats in chair cars etc berths, so nothin much as expectation...


Nothing was as expected; neat interiors, excellent use of technology. led display system with present speed;next station. More than for what we pay.











The airconditioning system was just about perfect. Not to forget the whole train was airconditoned.
Then perfect design with an extra side berth.
Only issue being an additonal person sitting in the normal berth!!!

Even the normal general compartment, in this

chair car was ok. But it was crowded with seats
and the seats not being push back was infact not suited for this royal 'chariot'.

But overall we must agree garib rath is just bout perfect

Kudos to Mr.Laloo!!!

The Road from IIM to IIM

Making it to the IIM, it is no easy a journey. To begin the story i stride back to the last summer.


March 31st, 2007.






Being here at IIM-A for the annual convocation; nothing more for inspiration. My brother's convocation. Finance minister of India, Dr.Chidambharam was the chief guest and i was here and It was on this day i decided next year i will be here.



After normal preparations and few months of hard work...

Results and interview
98.5 percentile and the interview went well...
